A loved, but well used Giant Defy came in for some paint repairs. The pressure was on as it was the customer’s only bike and he was in the middle of a solid training block before the Tour of Bright. He had scheduled only two rest days while I returned it back to new.
The repairs were pretty standard fare – stone chips, some wall grazing and paint cracks and peeling on the back of the seat post.
Repairs were a combination of some spot filling and paint blending as well as some clear coat repairs. Some of the masking was a challenge!
The seat post was also tricky as the black was a dark metallic….so a few drops of bright silver into some solid black, match it by eye and and it was just like new.
The after shots…
All ready for it’s 2014 assault on Tawonga and Mount Hotham!
